Sometimes

Sometimes we fall only to be helped up by the Father
Sometimes we wake up in the morning saying "why bother?"
Sometimes the earth seems such a gigantic place to be
Sometimes our eyes are so unclear it gets harder and harder to see
Our lives are complicated and it seems like we are forgotten
The roads of life are paved with evils and it's a shame it is so trodden
God is the weaver of this quilt that we call our life
Sometimes this quilt is torn with daily pain and strife
But believing in the one Christ Jesus can mend those tattered threads
Renew your faith in him and he will see you safely to bed
The Devil is envious of the love that God has shown us all
Satan would love nothing more than to see each one of us fall
He will attack you while you sleep so solemnly in your bed
He will attack you while you work, always in the back of your head
He is tired of being stuck in limbo; it is a terrible place to dwell
Once the Lord, Christ Jesus, returns he will be sent to Hell
So lift your eyes up to God for he has not forgotten about you
He will forge a path of righteousness in everything you do
He will clear away the obstacles that dissuade your spiritual progress
He will create an aura of happiness that you'll never regret
Remember to love your fellow brother and sister regardless of their actions
Forgive those that trespass against you and God will forgive your infractions
Christ died on the cross so that you may live this life
Don't let that message wither away because of your strife
