"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)

God wants to do something new in your life today. He knew you would have setbacks and He knew that life wouldn't always be fair. But, God wants to restore to you what the enemy has taken away. He always has something better in store for you than anything you can imagine. God doesn't care where you've been as much as He cares about where you're going. He knows that everyone falls short; that's why the Bible says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us." Don't let the enemy keep you focused on past disappointments and mistakes. You don't have to pay God back for your past mistakes and failures. That's what grace is all about. It's a free gift. You are free to receive God's mercy and forgiveness.

A Prayer for Today

God, give me the strength to set my focus forward today. Thank You for continuously giving me another chance and for being more concerned with my future than my past. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Striving to live a life of excellence is possible when you begin to understand and act out today's passage. Don't work just for your boss or for a paycheck. Instead, work for God. When you love your family and show true friendship and kindness to others, it's as if you are doing that for Jesus too! When your focus is on God in whatever you do, you are living out His exciting purpose for you. That's why God wants you to put your whole heart into everything you do . . . every day. And when you give your best effort for God, He promises to reward you. Your life can be transformed by practicing this very basic principle of seeking to please and honor God in all you do.

 

"Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward." (Colossians 3:23-24)

new verison of Footprints by Rose Sharon

    

This new version of the "footprints" story really caught me off guard at the end...What a blessing JUST READ IT!



FOOTPRINTS...A New Version


          Imagine you and the Lord Jesus are walking down the road  together.  For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace.




            But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures, and returns.




           For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling His consistently.




     You and Jesus are walking as true friends!




           This seems perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: Your footprints that once etched the sand next to Jesus' are now walking precisely in His steps.




           Inside His larger footprints are your smaller ones, you and Jesus are becoming one.




           This goes on for many miles, but gradually you notice another change.  The footprints inside the large footprints seem to grow larger.




           Eventually they disappear altogether. There is only one set of footprints. They have become one.



           This goes on for a long time, but suddenly the second set of footprints is back. This time it seems even worse! Zigzags all over the place.   Stops.  Starts. Gashes in the sand.   A variable mess of prints.



           You are amazed and shocked. 
          Your dream ends. Now you pray: 
          "Lord, I understand the first scene, with zigzags and fits.  I was a new Christian; I was just learning.  But You walked on through the storm and helped me learn to walk with You."



           "That is correct." 

         "And when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was actually learning to walk in Your steps, following You very closely."



           "Very good.. You have understood everything so far." 
          When the smaller footprints grew and filled in Yours, I suppose that I was becoming like You in every way."



           "Precisely." 

          "So, Lord, was there a regression or something? The footprints separated, and this time it was worse than at first."



           There is a pause as the Lord answers, with a smile in His voice. 

          "You didn't know?  It was then that we danced!"

           To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance. 
          Ecclesiastes 3:1,4. 

         Spread the Word and give thanks to the Lord for He is good!




       
          It's not WHAT you have in your life, but Whom you have in your life that counts... Think about that. 

          I ASKED GOD 
          I asked for a flower, 
          He gave me a garden. 

          I asked for a tree, 
          He gave me a forest. 

          I asked for a river, 
          He gave me an ocean. 

          I asked for a friend, 
          He gave me "YOU."

Does there seem to be a problem waiting for you no matter where you turn? Do you sometimes wonder if your dreams are ever going to come to pass? Maybe you've asked why God would allow you to struggle in your job, your relationships, your health, or some other area of life. God allows you to go through challenges because He knows it's the struggle of life that builds strength in you. If God simply delivered you from every struggle every time, then you may not continue to grow and learn to trust Him. When you persevere through difficult times, you'll begin to realize a greater level of joy, peace, victory, and abundance than you ever dreamed possible. Remember, God loves you too much to leave you where you are. He's preparing you for something better!

 

"Our present troubles are quite small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever!" (2 Corinthians 4:17)

People aren't going to know we're His disciples by how many times we come to church or how many scriptures we can quote. People will know we're His disciples by the love we show one another. The enemy tries to bring division throughout the Body of Christ by keeping us focused on our differences. When we're critical and judgmental, we build walls that separate us. The Bible says in Ephesians 4:13, "We need to come together in the unity of faith." There's great power in unity! We can do a whole lot more together, as born-again believers, than we can do apart. Let's decide to lay down our differences and come together in the unity of our faith in Jesus Christ.

Rather than be part of the constantly lost flock, you should soar like an eagle higher and higher above the earth! Follow God with conviction, and you might find yourself acting much more strangely compared to earthly standards. But God will promote you to a new level of blessing and victory when you commit yourself fully to Him. Don't live a life of mediocrity and regularity, live a life of excellence for God! Integrity is so important to a Christian that it needs to be a conscious and daily decision for you. Integrity is the foundation that God builds a successful life upon. Integrity and prosperity go hand in hand in the mind of God. Just like the servant in the story of Luke 19, if you are faithful and work at small things with integrity, God can then make you responsible for bigger and better things! The catch is that you have to be faithful and full of integrity even in the small things. God will bless you when you maintain honesty, integrity, and faithfulness to Him in all things you do, whether great or small.

 

"Fine!' the king exclaimed. 'You are a good man. You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you, and as your reward, you shall be governor of ten cities." (Luke 19:17)

Being a Mother...

BEING A MOTHER

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to
take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She
said, "I love you, but I know this other woman loves
you and would love to spend some time with you."

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit
was my MOTHER, who has been a widow for 19 years,
but the demands of my work and my three children had
made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for
dinner and a movie.

"What's wrong, are you well," she asked?

My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a
late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign
of bad news.

"I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some
time with you," I responded. "Just the two of us."

She thought about it for a moment, and then said,
"I would like that very much."

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick
her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her
house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous
about our date. She waited in the door with her coat
on. She had curled her hair and was wearing the

dress that she had worn to celebrate her last
wedding anniversary.

She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an
angel's'. "I told my friends that I was going to go
out with my son, and they were impressed," she said,
as she got into the car. "They can't wait to hear
about our meeting."

We went to a restaurant that, although not
elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my
arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat
down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only
read large print. Half way through the entries, I
lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at
me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. "It was I
who used to have to read the menu when you were
small," she said. "Then it's time that you relax and
let me return the favor," I responded.

During the dinner, we had an agreeable
conversation- -nothing extraordinary but catching up
on recent events of each other's life. We talked so
much that we missed the movie.

As we arrived at her house later, she said, "I'll
go out with you again, but only if you let me invite
you." I agreed.

"How was your dinner date?" asked my wife when I
got home. "Very nice.

Much more so than I could have imagined," I
answered.

A few days later, my mother died of a massive
heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't
have a chance to do anything for her.

Some time later, I received an envelope with a
copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place
mother and I had dined. An attached note said: "I
paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I
could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two
plates - one for you and the other for your wife.

You will never know what that night meant for me. I
love you, son."

At that moment, I understood the importance of
saying in time: "I LOVE YOU" and to give our loved
ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in life is
more important than your family. Give them the time
they deserve, because these things cannot be put off
till "some other time."

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back
to normal after you've had a baby.... Somebody
doesn't know that once you're a mother, "normal" is
history.

Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by
instinct... Somebody never took a three-year-old
shopping.

Somebody said being a mother is boring ....
Somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager
with a driver's permit.

Somebody said if you're a
"good" mother, your child will "turn out
good"....somebody thinks a child comes with
directions and a guarantee.

Somebody said "good" mothers never
raise their  voices ... Somebody never came out the back door
just in time to see her child hit a golf ball
through the neighbor's kitchen window.

Somebody said you don't need an education to be a
mother.... Somebody never helped a fourth grader
with his math.

Somebody said you can't love the second child as
much as you love the first .... Somebody doesn't
have two children.

Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to
her child-rearing questions in the books....
Somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose - or M&M's
in his ears.

Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother
Is labor and delivery....somebody never watched her
"baby" get on the bus for the first day of
Kindergarten .... or on a plane headed for military
"boot camp."

Somebody said a mother can do her job with her
eyes closed and one hand tied behind her back
..somebody never organized seven giggling Brownies
to sell cookies.

Somebody said a  mother can stop worrying after her
Child gets married....somebody doesn't know that
Marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a
mother's heartstrings.

Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last
Child leaves home...somebody never had
Grandchildren.

Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so
You don't need to tell her.... somebody isn't a
mother.

Pass this along to all the "mothers" in your life
and to everyone who ever had a mother. This isn't
just about being a mother; it's about appreciating
the people in your life while you have them.

You can probably think of many times in which you simply did not give your best effort, or didn't really try very hard. Every person, because of our human imperfections, sometimes chooses to be lazy and not try. But the example given by Christ, and the one mentioned in Colossians 3, is completely the opposite. Christians are to be the best at whatever they do, because they are do to everything as if they were doing it for God alone! When you put your whole heart into whatever it is you are supposed to do, God will recognize that and bless you for it. You should strive for and pursue excellence in all you do, for the sake of God; He blesses excellence!

 

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."
(Colossians 3:23)

Are your hopes, dreams, and visions way big today? I hope so, because there are no limits for the powerful and loving God that you serve! When God puts a dream in your heart, even a big dream that seems almost impossible, He will also put in your heart the ability and the opportunity to complete it. The tough part is that you're going to have to step outside of your comfort zone, and allow God to give you what you need. The woman described in Luke 8 had a dream of being healthy, but nobody could help her. She kept dreaming and reached out for Jesus to be healed. Reach out for your dream today and watch God do the rest!

 

"As they went a woman who wanted to be healed came up behind and touched him, for she had been slowly bleeding for twelve years, and could find no cure (though she had spent everything she had on doctors). But the instant she touched the edge of his robe, the bleeding stopped." (Luke 8:43)

The Bible teaches to choose your words wisely. In fact, God's Word says life and death are in the power of the tongue. That's why you need to be very careful about what you say each day. Your words can either be a positive and encouraging influence, or a discouraging one. It may be easier to grumble and become negative when things aren't going your way, but God calls you to speak words that strengthen and lift others up. When you do that, you will be blessed as well. Today, experience a new sense of joy by speaking positive words of faith and victory over your life and those around you.

Daily Inspirational for 3-16-07

Today, take time to reflect on and give thanks to God for all of His blessings in your life. Whether you are eating turkey, playing games with your family, watching football or visiting a friend, remember to take time to focus on God's goodness. Count your blessings and notice all the grace, favor and love that God has given you. Psalm 95:2 says to "come before His presence with Thanksgiving...shout joyfully to Him with psalms." No matter the circumstances in your life, give thanks and praise to God for all that He has done. Remember how good He is and that His love will endure forever. The Bible says that you show your love for God through your actions towards other people. Reach out to those around you this holiday season and share His love and forgiveness with them. You are blessed to be a blessing to others!

Everything belongs to God, so why not give some back to Him? God has entrusted you with a certain amount of wealth and talent. It may not be as much as someone else's, but that's OK because you are only responsible for what He has entrusted to you. God wants to see if you're going to be faithful to Him in what you have before He decides to give you more. Giving is of utmost importance to the local church and most of all, it is important to God Almighty!

Those are risky and certainly life-changing events and times in our past, but life-changing doesn't just belong in the past. God still wants you to step out into something great and mysterious for His glory and for your blessing and fulfillment. If your life has not changed much, or if you have a greater desire to impact the lives of those around you, ask God to give you a challenge to undertake that will make an unforgettable impact!

Sometimes we fall only to be helped up by the Father

Sometimes we wake up in the morning saying "why bother?"

Sometimes the earth seems such a gigantic place to be

Sometimes our eyes are so unclear it gets harder and harder to see

 

Our lives are complicated and it seems like we are forgotten

The roads of life are paved with evils and it's a shame it is so trodden

God is the weaver of this quilt that we call our life

Sometimes this quilt is torn with daily pain and strife

 

But believing in the one Christ Jesus can mend those tattered threads

Renew your faith in him and he will see you safely to bed

The Devil is envious of the love that God has shown us all

Satan would love nothing more than to see each one of us fall

 

He will attack you while you sleep so solemnly in your bed

He will attack you while you work, always in the back of your head

He is tired of being stuck in limbo; it is a terrible place to dwell

Once the Lord, Christ Jesus, returns he will be sent to Hell

 

So lift your eyes up to God for he has not forgotten about you

He will forge a path of righteousness in everything you do

He will clear away the obstacles that dissuade your spiritual progress

He will create an aura of happiness that you'll never regret

 

 Remember to love your fellow brother and sister regardless of their actions

Forgive those that trespass against you and God will forgive your infractions

Christ died on the cross so that you may live this life

Don't let that message wither away because of your strife

Is your heart of compassion open? Do you take time to make a difference in others? God has given you a heart of compassion, but you must decide to keep it open and allow the love of God to flow through you to those around you. In order to experience God's abundant life, you must keep your focus on helping other people. Don't allow the enemy to keep you so busy that you overlook the needs of those around you. Make a decision to show God's love and goodness wherever you go. Be on the lookout for people you can bless. Go out of your way to show God's compassion, and as you do, you will discover the champion in you!

 

"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose." (Philippians 2: 1-2)

To Everyone...today I am going 40 day 40 nights for JESUS!

Today I have made a vow to JESUS my Savior and to God our creator to walk away from all sin and anything else that has any evil doing involved.  Whether it kills me or not I am.  I may loose what I call friends, my love, my family, my job (clients)...but I am doing this for know body on earth...Just for him...If it doesn't follow the word of God I am not apart of it.  So starting March 12th (April 13th first full day) to April 20th last full day.  I will be in the dessert.  Still here...lol...but in my own spiritual war fare with the Devil.  Because he has been granted the will to challenge me.  Like I have been granted to will to fight him. 

 

My personal list...everyone join me and make your own.

 

ONE: 'I shall have no other gods before my Lord.'

TWO: 'I shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'

THREE: 'Ishall not take the name of the LORD my God in vain.'

FOUR: 'I will Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'

FIVE: 'I will Honor my father and my mother.'

SIX: 'I shall not murder.'

SEVEN: 'I shall not commit adultery.'  nor have sex until wed'

EIGHT: 'I shall not steal.'

NINE: 'I shall not bear false witness against my neighbor.'  (everyone on earth) 

TEN: 'I shall not covet my neighbor's house; I shall not covet my neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is my neighbor's.'

 

Reasoning I am sending this to everyone...because everyone will see major change in my life starting today.  I had a long weekend to process all my thoughts and emotions and raised them up to God to handle.  Before I finished prayer to God to take them all away, he responded that they were already his handle.  So now its time for me to do something for him.

 

For the next 40 days and 40 nights I have quit smoking...will not consume an ounce of alcohol/wine/beer/or any other drug known to man meaning prescription or man made.  I will not shave or cut my hair.  I will not participate in anything that is evil in nature or disruptive or that will prevent the Holy Spirit from touching my soul which will have a chain reaction to my flesh. 

 

This is included but not limited to...everything known to man that I will not get me arrested or be pursecuted on behalf of my religious belief.  Obviously I am not in any noble rankings like Christ...Cause as just stated I fear the law of Man too an extent...But In the name of Jesus...everything else.

 

So for any of my friends, family and loved ones.  Please understand.  But I am not here for you.  I am only a servant to God.  Here is some scripture inspired by man...

 

Psalms 34:22
The Lord Redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.

AMEN!

God wants us to have true faith in Him. According to Hebrews 11, faith is the substance of things hoped for. The word "hope" is also easily misunderstood because it means something entirely different today. Some people think of hope as luck, "I hope I pass this test." God's view of hope is certainty and confidence, a great expectation of what is to come. Having true faith in God means having a confidence that what He says is true, even though you don't see Him and you can't prove the future. Having a hope for a future with God is what drives believers to makes themselves more like Christ each day. You too have this eternal hope in Christ—and hopefully that does drive you!

 

"What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead." (Hebrews 11:1)

If you know someone who is struggling, just put an arm around them & let them know that you care & that you have been thinking about them. To truly show them the love of God, stand next to them, pray with them & make a difference. That is the kind of life-altering love that Jesus showed as an example in the Bible. Love is a perfectly good word, so don't be afraid to use it. Jesus said that more than anything else, love will be the way that the world knows the disciples of Christ. Go visit an old friend, tell your family that you love them; or do something else for someone to express the love that you have for them.  Your testimonies need to be shared.

 

"Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples."
